The Faculty of Tourism of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University hosted an important event called “Career Day-2024” on March 12, 2024. The event turned into an important meeting for students aiming to build a career in the tourism sector. It was attended by academicians, students, and company representatives from various regions of Kyrgyzstan.

The opening speeches were made by Vice Deans of the Faculty of Tourism, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Guntekin Shimshek and Assist. Prof. Dr. Naryngul Margazieva. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Guntekin Shimshek said, “As a faculty, we strive to integrate theory with practice”. He thanked the industry representatives and talked about the event, which allowed students to make a solid start to their careers.

Assist. Prof. Dr. Naryngul Margazieva explained the importance of compulsory internships to the students and emphasized that they will gain real experience through these internships.

Following the opening speeches, the Head of KTMU Career Office, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Esen, shared the activities and future plans of the center, which provides support to students and graduates by working in cooperation with employers. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Esen stated that the event plays a critical role for the future of youth and explained the importance of the opportunities it provides to students.

During the event, prominent organizations in the sector provided detailed information about internship and job opportunities for students. The event, which was very productive for the students, guided them to step into their future career journeys and offered them the opportunity to find answers to their questions of interest.
