Nowruz Painting Exhibition Held at KTMU
The Painting Exhibition on the occasion of Nowruz Day was held on March 20, 2024, at the Kurmancan Datka Art Gallery of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University.
Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan, the Rector of Manas University, who delivered the opening speech at the exhibition, emphasized that Nowruz is not an ordinary holiday and drew attention to its importance in Kyrgyz culture. He expressed that these works bear the traces of a culture spanning thousands of years, indicating the deep significance of the exhibition.
Prof. Dr. Chagatai Akengin, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, spoke about how Nowruz is reflected in art, one of the most valuable elements of culture. He stated that the unique nature and rich cultural heritage of Kyrgyzstan were skillfully depicted in the prominent works of the exhibition.
Instr. Adilet Canapilov, Head of the Department of Painting, thanked the artists who contributed to the preparation of the exhibition and emphasized that each of these magnificent works, created with their devoted efforts, is a marvel of art.
