Joint Archaeological Research Between Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University and Namangan State University

Within the scope of the academic cooperation protocol signed between Namangan University and Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University in 2023, an important visit took place on June 4, 2024.

Within the framework of this visit, Prof. Dr. Kubatbek Tabaldiev from the Department of History, along with 13 undergraduate and 1 graduate students from Manas University, visited Namangan State University to acquaint themselves with archaeological monuments, artifacts, and historical museums, and to participate in archaeological excavations held between June 3-13.

As part of the program, a meeting was held at Namangan University on June 5, 2024. The meeting was attended by Deputy Rector of Namangan University, Prof. Nariman Dehkanov; Vice Rector for scientific activities, Prof. Agzam Rasulov, and Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Prof. Shukhrat Haidaraliev. After the meeting, the students visited the Bronze Age archaeological monument of Chust and were briefed on the results of this year's excavations.

Starting from June 6, 2024, representatives from both universities will participate in a comprehensive archaeological study of the ruins of the old city of Aksikent. These efforts will further solidify the scientific and practical cooperation between the two institutions.
