Rector of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan visited the newly appointed Rector of Atatürk University, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu. During this visit, a comprehensive cooperation protocol was signed, aimed at strengthening the academic, scientific, and social ties between the two universities.
The protocol outlines plans for student and academic staff exchanges, joint scientific research and meetings, and the realization of various collaborative projects. This initiative seeks to unite efforts to make significant contributions to the youth of both countries and the Turkic World.
Prof. Dr. Ceylan, who had been a faculty member at Atatürk University for many years before his appointment as Rector of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University in 2020, expressed his pleasure in visiting Atatürk University, which holds an important place in his academic life. He conveyed his hope that Rector, Prof. Dr. Hacımüftüoğlu known for his academic achievements, would make significant contributions to the university, and wished him success in his new position. Prof. Dr. Ceylan also expressed his belief that both universities would establish strong cooperation with other universities in the Turkic World.
Additionally, he expressed his satisfaction with the appointment of Prof. Dr. Hasan Türkez and Prof. Dr. Hasan Yılmaz as vice-rectors, stating that they would enhance the friendship and collaboration between the two universities.
Rector, Prof. Dr. Hacımüftüoğlu emphasized that the protocol marks the beginning of a process in which the two well-established universities will learn from each other. He noted that their ties with Manas University have historical roots and expressed that the signed protocol strengthens these connections. Together, they aim to better prepare the youth of both countries for the future by developing joint projects in both educational and research fields.
