The second inter-student scientific event, “Science Road,” organized by the Department of Philology of the Faculty of Humanities of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, took place on April 8, 2025 at the Kasym Tynystanov Conference Hall. The event became a significant platform that united the academic community.
The event was attended by Deputy Rector Prof. Dr. Almaz Ibraev, Vice Deans of the Faculty of Humanities Assoc. Prof. Dr. Halit Aşlar and Assist. Prof. Dr. Kayrat Belek, Head of the Department of Philology Prof. Dr. Burul Sagynbaeva, as well as numerous academicians and students.
In his opening speech, Deputy Rector Prof. Dr. Almaz Ibraev highlighted the importance of hosting scientific events at the faculty level, describing it as a notable achievement. Emphasizing the importance of scientific studies in his speech, Prof. Dr. Ibraev discussed the opportunities available to students and the innovations at the university. Prof. Dr. Ibraev also highlighted the importance of fully utilizing the resources available both in Kyrgyzstan and globally and encouraged students to actively engage in scientific conferences and entrepreneurship competitions.
Head of the Department of Philology, Prof. Dr. Burul Sagynbaeva noted that the event was organized to enhance students' academic and professional knowledge, foster critical and intellectual thinking skills, and actively involve them in scientific discussions. She explained that as faculty members, they do not only transmit knowledge but also seek ways to introduce students to the world of science. “The universe of science is a completely different world,” she remarked. “To enter this world, one must be curious and show genuine interest.”
Students participating in the event's opening session demonstrated their multilingual academic competence by presenting their papers in five different languages: Kyrgyz, Turkish, English, Russian, and Chinese. The program, which unfolded over six sessions, captivated the audience's attention. The students gained valuable presentation experience, marking a significant step on their “path of science” while contributing to scientific thought.
At the conclusion of the event, the jury awarded the students who presented the best papers. The Department of Philology in the Faculty of Humanities will continue to involve students in the scientific world through such annual events.
