On June 4, 2025, Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (KTMU) conducted a meaningful visit to the Aidanek Children’s Orphanage as part of its Social Responsibility Project, reflecting the university’s commitment to social responsibility. During the visit, KTMU faculty members and students gathered with the children residing at the orphanage, sharing joyful moments and bringing smiles to their faces while instilling hope in their hearts.

The event was coordinated by Assist. Prof. Dr. Murat Avcı, Lecturer in the Tourism and Hotel Management Program of KTMU’s High School of Vocational Education. Lecturer of the Department of History of the Faculty of Humanities, Prof. Dr. Nezahat Ceylan along with students from the Child Care Program actively participated in the event.

As part of the university’s aid campaign themed “A Toy, A Book from You,” books, toys, and various gifts were generously provided by the Rectorate and delivered to the children. These donations were made possible through the contributions of both academic and administrative staff. Additionally, children’s books specially prepared by KTMU academicians were presented, contributing to the children’s cultural development.

Throughout the event, fun and educational activities were organized, creating an early festive atmosphere filled with love and joy. The happiness reflected in the children’s eyes at the conclusion of the visit underscored the meaningful impact and success of the initiative.

Manas University upholds the belief that social activities like these not only enrich individual lives but also strengthen the culture of social solidarity. Every meaningful event, especially those aimed at children in need, paves the way for nurturing hopeful individuals who look toward the future with optimism.

KTMU, living up to its philosophy of being “More Than Just a University,” continues to extend its influence beyond academia by sincerely touching the hearts of those in need of care and affection, particularly in the spirit of the upcoming holiday.
