2022 YEAR SPRING SEMINAR SERIES OF KTMU FACULTY OF THEOLOGY HAS STARTED
For the first time in the history of KTMU Faculty of Theology, an academic seminar program has been started. Giving information about the seminars, Dean of the Faculty of Theology Prof. Dr. Kemal POLAT gave the following information about the seminar: “Based on the importance of scientific activities, to prepare the ground for our professors to share their work in our faculty, to discuss important issues related to their field, and to conduct scientific negotiations. This semester we have started the "Faculty of Theology Academic Seminar Program" in order to contribute to the increase of knowledge and skills of our young academicians. All lecturers and graduate students can attend these seminars as listeners. Presentation at the seminar is optional. A semester program has been created and announced by taking topics from our professors who want to make presentations. We welcome all interested academicians.”
In the first seminar on 01.03.2022, Polat said, that the purpose of his presentation titled "A Change and Transformation Project: Inculturation", in which all academicians and graduate students in the Faculty participated as listeners, "is to fight against foreign cultural elements that are desired to be included in our social and religious life, to raise awareness about this issue, to arouse interest and inform, and to raise awareness about protecting our values.” During the seminar Polat has given place to various examples of inculturation with visual materials.
