ACADEMIC SEMINAR: “MUHAMMED ALI ES- SÂBÛNÎ AND HIS TAFSIR” (Assoc. Prof. Dr. MEHMET DEMİRCİ)
Within the scope of KTMU Faculty of Theology Seminars series, on 07.07.2022, lecturer Assoc.Prof. Dr. Mehmet DEMİRCİ made a presentation on "Muhammed Ali es-Sâbûnî' and his Tafsir". In the presentation, the life and works of Muhammed Ali es-Sâbûnî (1930-2021), who was the commentator of the modern period, were introduced.
The speaker explained with examples that Sâbûnî has seven works in the field of Tafsir, the purposes, methods and contents of these works. In addition, he explained the importance, sources, method and place of tafsir called Safvetü't-Tafâsir, which is the most well-known in the world of science, to the audience with a visual presentation prepared. At the end of the seminar, Demirci answered questions on the subject and the program continued with the participants' discussions on the subject.
At the end of the program, Dean of the Faculty of Theology Prof. Dr. Kemal POLAT thanked the speaker and the participants for their presentations.
