On the occasion of 13 February World Radio Day, the Rector of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan was the special guest of the Manas FM.

During the program, Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan emphasized that Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University has established a strong brand value in education, describing the university as a guiding star. Stressing that the university is not merely a center of education, Prof. Dr. Ceylan stated: “We not only provide our students with academic knowledge; we also act with a sense of cultural and social responsibility, addressing all segments of society.”

Rector Ceylan also touched upon the significance of International Mother Language Day, noting that Turkish and Kyrgyz form a strong “golden bridge” between Türkiye and Kyrgyzstan. Highlighting the importance of the day, he celebrated World Radio Day on 13 February and expressed his gratitude to all staff members who have contributed to Manas FM since its establishment, conveying his best wishes for their continued success.

Stating that Manas Radio is not merely a university radio station but carries a mission beyond the university itself, Prof. Dr. Ceylan answered questions from students representing various departments who joined the broadcast during the program. He added that Manas University students are raised as intelligent, ethical, and successful individuals, and that these qualities are the most concrete reflection of the university’s educational philosophy.

As the first and still the only university radio station in Central Asia that continues to broadcast, Manas FM began its broadcasting life online in 1999. Since 2000, it has been reaching listeners 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via terrestrial broadcasting across Kyrgyzstan, particularly in Bishkek and its surrounding areas. Major university events, scientific and cultural activities, as well as current developments are delivered to listeners daily through Manas FM.
