The main mission of the Faculty of Tourism is to equip students with comprehensive information about the infrastructure of the relevant sector and to create opportunities for them to enter the business world after acquiring this knowledge. Students who spend more time in the laboratory become more effective in developing job-related applications and gaining practical experience. The area of Computer Laboratory No. 112 of the Faculty of Tourism is 38 m² and it is designed to accommodate 15 students/instructors.
Objectives of using the computer laboratory:
Students who work on real-life projects during their studies gain early insights into the requirements of the business world and tend to acquire more relevant experience. With this in mind, the computer laboratory of the Faculty of Tourism was established and continues to train students who successfully complete their courses.
Students can use the modern lab, equipped with high-speed internet, not only during lessons but also outside class hours. In this laboratory, not only undergraduate students but also graduate students work with faculty members to develop theses, projects, research, and practical applications.
Courses held in the computer laboratory:
In addition to professional automated applications (such as Fidelio Front Office, Fidelio Materials Control, and Amadeus), the lab computers are equipped with software used in courses like statistical analysis and modeling, graphic design, web design, and simulation. This laboratory is particularly utilized in the development of special applications and in courses such as Professional Software, Database Systems, Computer Networks, Human-Computer Interaction, Data Mining, Artificial Intelligence, and Web Programming.
Hardware of the computer laboratory:
Located on the first floor of the main building of the Faculty of Tourism, the computer laboratory (Server Computer), which is equipped for 15+1 users, consists of high-configuration computers, smart projection systems, and network infrastructures.
