On 16 April 2024, the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts of our University hosted a Practical Seminar on 'Application of Cereals and Cereal Products in Modern Cuisine.' The seminar was part of Tourism Week activities and planned social engagements between 15-20 April, specifically tailored for students and teachers of Bishkek Vocational High School No. 10. The event commenced with opening remarks from the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Yasin Boylu, and the head of the department, Prof. Dr. Nurudin Kydyraliev. Subsequently, students and teachers from our department elucidated the nutritional benefits of locally sourced plant-based foods rich in protein. Attendees were then treated to live demonstrations of the preparation of Bean Piyazi, Hummus, Lentil Meatballs, and Kisir dishes. The event concluded with a guided tour of the school facilities and laboratories for the vocational high school students and teachers."
