Finance and Banking Program

PURPOSE

The purpose of the Department of Finance and Banking is to educate qualified personnel and financial institution managers that meet the needs of the financial sector, who have theoretical and applied knowledge of finance and banking; who are  able to put their knowledge and skills into practice, able to solve problem solving, work in a team, think critically, and take responsibility, who have a good communication skills, national and universal values and who are patriotic, innovative, tolerant.

PROGRAM INFORMATION

The Department of Finance and Banking is a 4-year bachelor's degree program following the preparatory course. The languages of instruction are Turkish, Kyrgyz and 30% of the lessons are English, and these languages ​​are taught in the preparatory class. Education at our department is carried out in accordance with the standards defined by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The Department of Finance and Banking educate competent and successful experts in economics, scientific research and management, especially in finance. In the The Department of Finance and Banking, related scientific disciplines such as finance, economics and business; banking, insurance, portfolio management, financial statements analysis, monetary theory and monetary policy, accounting, international finance, financial institutions, risk management etc are taught along with Turkish, Kyrgyz, English and Russian language. Thus, it is aimed that our graduates will be competent in the field of finance, interpret the knowledge they have obtained in this field in terms of today's disciplines, and have the knowledge, skills and competence to reflect their knowledge and skills to the field they will work in. Students studying in the program graduate with a State Diploma, which offers the opportunity to work as a specialist and manager such as finance specialist, economist, investment consultant in Kyrgyzstan, Turkey and other countries. After graduation, students can continue their education in postgraduate programs in other countries, especially in Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.

In order for the program to carry out its activities, there are enough classrooms, seminar rooms, lecture rooms, equipped computer laboratories and reading rooms. In addition to the program's own library, there is an Internet infrastructure that provides access to courses and books, periodicals, databases, electronic resources, and a central library that provides sustained service with its own reading rooms.

The undergraduate program currently employs a total of 2 full-time faculty, including 1 Professor and 1 Assistant Professor. All faculty are constantly conducting joint research with researchers abroad and participate in international scientific activities. The department can employ specialized teachers appointed for five years from respected universities in Turkey. If necessary, lecturers working in other universities of the Kyrgyz Republic are invited to our department as a part-time lecturer.

Our successful students have the opportunity to study for free at universities in many countries, led by Turkey, under student exchange programs such as Erasmus, Mevlana, Farabi and Orhun, also with the support of our university they can undergo internships. On the other hand, students studying at our department have the opportunity to gain foreign experience by participating in a summer internship during their studies.
