Biota Student Club
In order to organize and encourage the scientific, social, and sporting interests of our students in their free time, the student club Biota was started in 2009 under the auspices of the faculty. Currently, Biota operates at the university and city level, for example, writing “350.org” on the sides of a mountain, landscaping days at the Chingiz Aitmatov Campus, the “We’re For a Clean City” campaign, a cleaning walk through Ataturk Park, an open-house night at the department, a quiz night called “Ecoring” between different engineering departments, volunteering days, career days, a photo exhibition called “Environment, Clean Air, Clean Society”, participating in the “On the Road to Doha” conference, the “We Aren’t Indifferent to the Environment” campaign, a charity concert in the Sports Palace with the organization Ecostrana, a photo exhibition called “Water is the Source of Life”, yearly picnics, the International Ecological Symposium in 2009, and other activities.
