The Faculty of Fine Arts at Kyrgyz‑Turkish Manas University was established in 2007 and began its academic activities in the 2009–2010 academic year by admitting its first students to the Departments of Graphic, Painting, and Theater. Starting with these departments, our faculty expanded its academic structure in 2015 with the inclusion of the Department of Music. Today, the faculty offers undergraduate programs in these four departments, providing students with a combination of theoretical knowledge, artistic practice, and cultural experience.
Our faculty is aware of the role of art in intercultural communication in a globalized world and aims to help students access universal artistic values without losing connection to their cultural roots. During the education process, specialists from Kyrgyzstan and Turkey, each an expert in their own field, are actively involved, enabling our students to explore the artistic heritage of the Turkic world and global civilizations while developing originality, creativity, and a sense of responsibility as artists.
Through the Mevlana and Orhun Exchange Programs, our faculty offers students the opportunity to gain education and experience at universities in Turkey. Additionally, seminars, conferences, and exhibitions organized by invited scholars from the Turkic world enrich the artistic vision of our students. Faculty members and students successfully represent the university at national and international artistic events.
The faculty makes significant contributions to the artistic life of the university through exhibitions, concerts, workshops, and stage events in the fields of painting, graphic design, photography, calligraphy, and script art. Artistic communities within the faculty reach a wide audience both on and off campus through their concerts, exhibitions, and performances. In particular, the Turkic World Orchestra is highly appreciated for its repertoire reflecting the rich musical culture of the Turkic world.
The mission of the Faculty of Fine Arts is to train artists who can build bridges between cultures through the unifying power of art, while being investigative, creative, and guided by ethical values.
With its qualified academic staff, modern educational approach, physical and technical infrastructure, artistic productivity, and international collaborations, our faculty continues to pursue its vision of becoming one of the leading art faculties in Central Asia.
