A WEBINAR ON “NOTE-TAKING IN CONSECUTIVE INTERPRETING”
On December 16, 2021, a webinar on “Note-Taking in Consecutive Interpreting” took place at the Simultaneous Translation Department. Prof. Dr. Ekrem Arıkoğlu gave a welcome speech and appreciated collaborative work among Perm National Research and Polytechnic University in Russia and KTMU. The main speaker of the webinar, Prof. Dr. Elena Alikina shared important information on note-taking techniques, tips, and the challenges the interpreters should handle. Then the floor was given to Dr. Nurgul Karybekova, she shared her experience on teaching note-taking techniques, resources, and mnemonic activities used during the lessons. Prof. Dr. Elena Alikina gave concise answers to all the questions and expressed appreciation to the Administration of the Faculty of Letters for the support and organization of such a collaborative webinar.
