Vice President Oktay Visited KTMU

Fuat Oktay, Vice President of the Republic of Turkey, visited Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (KTMU).

Vice President of Turkey Fuat Oktay, who came to Kyrgyzstan for the Turkey-Kyrgyzstan Joint Economic Commission Meeting, paid a visit to KTMU on 10 September 2021. He was accompanied by Turkish Ambassador to Bishkek Ahmet Sadık Doğan, Deputy Minister of Environment and Urbanization Mehmet Emin Birpınar, Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Şeref Kalaycı, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Ayşe Ayşın Işıkgece, Deputy Minister of Trade Sezai Uçarmak, Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Selim Dursun and Chairman of the Foreign Economic Relations Board Nail Olpak.

Fuat Oktay was welcomed by Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Asilbek Kulmirzayev, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Orçan and Rectorate Chief Advisor Prof. Dr. Ahmet Beşe and hosted in the Senate Hall.

Prof. Dr. Asilbek Kulmırzayev briefed Vice President Oktay on the developments at KTMU; he conveyed Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan’s regards, who was outside of Kyrgyzstan to make university-related contacts with various universities and institutions.

Oktay stated that they followed the developments in the University and were pleased with the progress.

The visit ended with a photograph taken after Asilbek Kulmırzayev had presented a souvenir gift to Fuat Oktay.
