Tree planting event was held at the Chyngyz Aitmatov Campus within the scope of  Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University 100th Anniversary Events.

The event was attended by Rector Alpaslan Ceylan, Deputy Rector Baktigul Kalambekova, academic/administrative staff and students.

Trees donated by members of the Engineering, Science and Agriculture faculties were planted at the event.

Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan told Manas Television that this event was held with the saplings donated by the academics. Prof. Dr. Ceylan said that this year they aim to ensure that every faculty member has a memory at Manas University and that they want the understanding of “green campus” to settle in their mind. Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan reminded that they drilled 2 artesian wells on the campus to support this. He also stated that afforestation works will continue in the future.

Deputy Rector Dr. Baktıgül Kalambekova also said that the members of the University had carried out a very good activity together, and wished that the saplings planted would bring unity and beauty.

During the events, each academic unit will contribute to the greening of the Campus with 100 trees.
