On October 27, 2023, a significant event took place in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye. The “Republic Exhibition” was organized by students from the Painting and Graphics Departments of the Faculty of Fine Arts. The event unfolded at the Kurmanjan Datka Art Gallery of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University.

The event was attended by Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University's Rector, Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sezai Turk and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kamalbek Karymshakov, Advisors to the Rector Prof. Dr. Recai Dogan, Prof. Dr. Serhat Burmaoglu, Prof. Dr. Olgun Cicek; General Secretary Assoc. Prof. Dr. Oktay Ozgul and Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Prof. Dr. Chagatay Akengin, academicians, and students.

The exhibition showcased an array of impressive artwork. Oil and charcoal works by the students from the Department of Painting, as well as thought-provoking posters created by 2nd-year students from the Department of Graphics, all centered around the theme of “Republic,” were prominently displayed. Moreover, the exhibit featured posters designed by Graphics Department students using modern digital illustration techniques, as well as illustrations crafted with classical linocut methods, all of which garnered significant attention.

During the exhibition's opening speech, Rector Alpaslan Ceylan emphasized the significance of a republican form of government for nations. He extended his wishes for the Turkic World to strengthen and prosper under this governance model.

The artworks on display delved into the core values and history of the Republic, providing a deeply emotional and intellectual experience for all visitors. This captivating exhibition will continue to welcome anyone interested in celebrating the power of art and the essence of the Republic at Kurmanjan Datka Art Gallery until November 3, 2023.
