Computer Engineering Department Students Won First Place at the IT-Hackathon Competition
The hackathon titled “The Best IT for Public Procurement in Kyrgyzstan,” was held at the International University of Kyrgyzstan on November 4-5, 2023. It brought together the creativity and technological know-how of young talents. The competition was organized by the organization “Transparency International” to draw the attention of businessmen and citizens to government procurement.
During the hackathon, the “ManasBm” team, composed of students from the Department of Computer Engineering at Manas University, competed to develop a new product within a short period and provide a solution that meets the specified requirements. The “ManasBm” team successfully completed this challenging task both quickly and effectively.
Their product presented at the hackathon was chosen as the winner by the jury. As a reward for this victory, the young talents received a cash prize of 100,000 soms. The students explained, “First of all, we aimed to identify problems and find solutions. With the help of artificial intelligence, we created a system that analyzes whether the tender is suspicious or not. This system processes site data through the website or mobile application and presents statistics in the form of graphics.” The “ManasBm” team also highlighted that this system can be accessed through the website or mobile application.
