Faculty of Fine Arts Students Won Awards at the “International Theatre Festival”
On December 21, 2023, the VIII International Theatre Festival titled “New Names” concluded at the Kyrgyz National Academic Drama Theater named after T. Abdumomunov. The event culminated in a grand closing ceremony, showcasing the remarkable achievements of the students from the Department of Theater of the Faculty of Fine Arts.
During the festival, fourth-year students from the Department of Theater earned significant recognition, securing the second-place position with their outstanding performance in the play titled “The Simplest Story.” Kaliza Tologonova, a fourth-year student who portrayed the successful female character in the play, was honored with the award for the best performance. She received a special diploma along with a cash prize.
Furthermore, the students from the Department of Theater achieved great success in the category of “Best Theater Criticism.” In the assessment of festival performances, third-year student Janylai Egemberdieva and second-year student Sezim Jumushova secured the 1st place, while third-year student Sıymık Joldubaev and second-year student Jyldyz Osmononalieva secured the 2nd place. In recognition of their achievements, these students were presented with special diplomas and cash prizes.
