“Manas Hackathon 2024,” organized by the Department of Computer Engineering of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University was held on April 19-20, 2024. The event brought together students from the Department of Computer Engineering of Manas University and the Fergana Branch of Tashkent University of Information Technologiesnamed after Muhammad al-Khwrazmi (TUIT). The two educational institutions were connected via a video bridge for the event, which was held simultaneously.

The competition gave 11 teams of 48 students the opportunity to develop teamwork and project management skills by working on real projects during the 24-hour event.

The first place in the competition was won by the team “DreamOn,” consisting of students from the Department of Computer Engineering of Manas University, while the second place was taken by the team “Simple-team” from the Fergana Branch of TUIT. The third place was taken by the team “BestCoder,” also consisting of students from the Department of Computer Engineering of the Manas University.

The competition was held under the chairmanship Assoc. Prof. Dr. Raiymbek Sultanov with contributions from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bakyt Sharshembaev, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rita İsmailova, and a representative from the KTMU Department of Computer Engineering Alumni Club. The event was moderated by Dr. Chynara Jumabaeva and 4th-year students from the Department of Computer Engineering.

“Manas Hackathon 2024” aimed to build bridges in the fields of technology and cooperation by bringing together youth from different cultures while providing students with real-world experience.
