Manas University`s Graduate Saule Mukanbetova's Film Won First Place at the International Film Festival
The film “Hope” by Saule Mukanbetova, the graduate of the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, achieved great success at the International Turan Film Festival held at Ege University on May 2-3, 2024.
The festival, which was organized in Izmir for the first time this year, attracted great participation with 1055 films from 77 countries such as Türkiye, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. At the festival, where 35 films from Kyrgyzstan took part, Saule Mukanbetova's film “Hope”, a graduate of our university, was deemed worthy of the first prize by the jury.
Manas University's student Saule Mukanbetova's short film “Hope”, which she prepared as her graduation thesis, is about the life of an 8-year-old girl living in the mountainous region of Kyrgyzstan.
