Deputy Rector of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, Prof. Dr. Almaz Ibraev participated in the III International Altai Forum, held in Altai from June 20-23, 2024.
The forum, entitled “Altai's Vector of Eurasian Integration: in the Interests of Strengthening Interethnic and Interreligious Harmony,” was organized by the Government of the Republic of Altai and the Institute of CIS Countries. Supported by the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the Eurasian and African Peoples Assembly, the forum brought together political and business leaders, civil society representatives, scientists, and public figures from Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Mongolia, Iran, and other Central Asian countries.
Deputy Rector, Prof. Dr. Almaz Ibraev delivered a presentation titled “Revitalization of Altai: the Cradle of Civilizations as a Platform for Successful Eurasian Integration.” In his speech, he emphasized the importance of cooperation within the framework of Eurasian integration. He noted the necessity of collaboration between countries through various projects and initiatives aimed at sustainable development and cultural exchange.
Prof. Dr. Almaz Ibraev highlighted that Altai holds symbolic significance for the Kyrgyz people, as it is seen as their historical homeland. “The Great Manas, born in Altai, evokes the warmest feelings in the heart of every Kyrgyz and reminds us of the importance of this region for our national and cultural identity,” he stated.
