101st Anniversary of the Founding of the Republic of Türkiye
On October 28, 2024, Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University hosted the Lantern Procession as part of the Republic Day celebrations of Türkiye. The event, held along the 100th Year Republic Street on the Chyngyz Aitmatov Campus, marked the second time the university organized it, once again filling participants with great enthusiasm.
The procession, featuring flags and torches, brought together participants who shared a love for the Republic. With hearts full of patriotism, participants proudly celebrated the 101st anniversary of the Republic, accompanied by spirited marches.
The procession concluded at the “Oba Tea” Garden, where the national anthems of Türkiye and Kyrgyzstan were performed. Flags representing Türkiye, Kyrgyzstan, and the broader Turkic World were proudly waved, adding to the atmosphere of unity.
In his closing remarks, the Rector of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan addressed the participants, saying: “Happy Republic Day! May this celebration pave the way for future generations and ensure that the Turkic Republics continue to thrive.”
The Lantern Procession, now a symbol of unity and solidarity, once again emphasized the deep bond between brotherly nations. It left a lasting impression on the Manas University community, further strengthening the spirit of togetherness.
