Manas University attended the November 10th Ataturk Memorial Program

On the occasion of 86th anniversary of great leader Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Ataturk's passing to the eternity, wreath presentation ceremony was held by the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Bishkek at the Ataturk Park.

Ambassador of Republic of Turkey in Bishkek, advisers and members of the embassy, Rector of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan, board of the university and students, teachers and students from schools affiliated with the Education Counsellor’s Office, chairmans of associations and the press attended to the program.

Ceremony started with presenting wreath to the Ataturk Monument. Firstly, ambassador of Turkey Republic in Bishkek Ahmet Sadik Dogan, standed in homage, putting wreath on the monument of Ataturk on behalf of Embassy of Turkey Republic in Bishkek. Afterwards, respectively, Representatives of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Rectorship of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, Head Physician of Recep Tayyip Erdogan Bishkek Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship Hospital, Presidency of Turkish Collaboration and Coordination Agency and Association of Kyrgyzstan Meskhetian Turks presented their wreaths.

At 09:05 in the morning, a two-minute moment of silence was held in the spiritual presence of the great leader Mustafa Kemal Ataturk and our revered martyrs, accompanied by the sound of sirens. Afterwards, the Turkish National Anthem was sung together.

Ambassador of Turkey Republic in Bishkek Ahmet Sadik Dogan, in his speech at the ceremony, stated: “Today, on the anniversary of Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Ataturk's passing to the eternity, the Chief Commander of our War of Independence and the founder of our Republic. We commemorate our heroes, ghazis, martyrs who fought alongside him with mercy and gratitude. We remember the sacred memory of all those who fought for our homeland for thousand of years.”

Ambassador Dogan underlined that Ataturk opened up new horizons to the Turkish people with the War of Independence, “the biggest contribution to the our Republic that built by Ataturk, tightly adopting our unity, solidarity and brotherhood.” he stated. Ambassador pointed out the importance of the values such as freedom, people, flag, homeland in entirety of Turkish history. “There are mutual values in

Ambassador Dogan, emphasized that Ataturk opened new horizons for the Turkish nation with the War of Independence, “The greatest contribution to our Republic, founded by Ataturk, is to firmly uphold our unity, solidarity, and brotherhood,” he stated. Drawed attention to the importance of values such as homeland, flag, nation, and freedom within the whole context of Turkish history. “From all Turkish inscriptions to the Nutuk of Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, from Tonyukuk to Ziya Gokalp, from Mehmet Akif to Nazim Hikmet, there are common values emphasized by all: Homeland, flag, nation, and freedom. To be worthy of those who entrusted us with the Republic, we will continue working tirelessly in every field, day and night. We must read history as a whole, learning from the past and looking toward new horizons,” he stated.

The wreath presentation ceremony at the Ataturk Monument ended with a photo session.
