New President Was Elected to the Student Council
2024-2025 Academic year Student Council elections were held in the Rectorship Conference Hall at Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University on November 13, 2024.
Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Kamalbek Karimsakov, Vice Director of the Vocational School and Chairman of the Student Council General Assembly Assist. Prof. Dr. Serhat Atmaca, members of the Student Council, faculty and department representatives attended the elections.
Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Kamalbek Karimsakov, thanked the Student Council for their active work in his speech. Afterwards, the Chairman of the Student Council General Assembly provided detailed information about the election process and candidates.
Eldiyar Asilbekov, who served as the President of the Student Council during the 2023-2024 academic year, along with his assistant Burak Can, presented a comprehensive report on the scientific, cultural, and sporting activities carried out throughout the year.
The Election Commission stated that a total of 18 candidates were nominated for administration of the Student Council and Representative Election for Supervision Committees, but only 15 of them were accepted. 12 candidates were nominated for the Management Committee, while 3 candidates were nominated for the Supervision Committee.
Before the election started, candidates had the opportunity to introduce themselves and shared their opinions. As a result of the votes cast by faculty and department representatives through a secret ballot, a 4th-year student in the Department of History Akmat Baktibek Uulu elected as the President of the Student Council for the 2024-2025 academic year. Ibrahim Tan, a 2nd-year student in the Faculty of Veterinary Science, elected as Vice-President.
