Meeting of Turkic World Academicians at the II Manas Congress

The II International Congress of Manas Pedagogical Research, organized in cooperation with Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University and Osh State Pedagogical University named after A. Myrsabekov was held on 21–22 November, 2024. The event was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region and brought together academicians from the Turkic World.

The congress was attended by the Rector of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan; the Rector of Osh State Pedagogical University, Prof. Dr. Bekmurza Zuluev; the Head of the Department of Educational Sciences of Manas University, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Arif Özerbaş; the Chairman of the Congress Organizing Committee, Prof. Dr. Akmataly Alimbekov; as well as many faculty members and participants.

On November 21, 2024, the congress commenced online with an opening speech by Rector of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan. In his address, Prof. Dr. Ceylan thanked Osh State Pedagogical University for hosting the event and emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation in education among Turkic states. He remarked, “We will strive to implement next-generation projects in education by fostering collaboration between Turkic states and universities.” He also highlighted the crucial role universities should play in leading change and driving development.

Rector of Osh State Pedagogical University, Prof. Dr. Bekmurza Zuluev expressed his satisfaction with the reappointment of Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan as Rector of Manas University and wished him success in his new term. He also thanked the contributors to the congress and expressed his confidence that the presented papers would make significant contributions to the Turkic World.

On 22 November 2024, the congress continued with in-person sessions held at Osh State Pedagogical University. Over 70 papers were presented by scholars from Türkiye, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. These sessions provided a platform for in-depth discussions on current developments and innovative practices in education, while also fostering regional cooperation.

The congress concluded successfully with the presentation of certificates to participants from various regions of the Turkic World, marking a significant step towards strengthening educational collaboration and innovation.
