Manas University’s Lecturer Honored with “Academician of the Year” Award
On December 25, 2024, an award ceremony was held to recognize the winners of the “Best of the Year” competition, organized to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Kyrgyz Tuusu newspaper.
Assist. Prof. Dr. Serdar Dağıstan from the Kyrgyz-Turkish Program of the Department of Translations was honored with the “Best Academician of the Year” title for his significant contributions to strengthening Kyrgyz-Turkish relations. He was recognized for his monograph on the comparative grammar of the Kyrgyz and Turkish languages, as well as his extensive work in general linguistics, cultural studies, and stylistics. Additionally, he received the “Best of the Year” medal for his contributions and dedication to the country’s development.
