KTMU Deputy Rector Prof. Dr. Almaz Ibraev Was a Special Guest of the “History Road” Program
On December 27, 2024, the Deputy Rector of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, Prof. Dr. Almaz Ibraev was a special guest on Manas Radio's popular program titled “History Road.”
During the broadcast, Prof. Dr. Ibraev shared the history of the establishment of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region, the heroes who sacrificed their lives in the process, and his views on the events organized to mark the 100th anniversary of the region.
Stating that the past year holds special significance for both the Kyrgyz people and Kyrgyzstan as a whole, Prof. Dr. Ibraev emphasized, “We are celebrating the centenary of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region. As Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, we have organized many events in honor of this meaningful anniversary, and these events will continue to grow.”
In his speech, Deputy Rector Prof. Dr. Ibraev also highlighted the importance of maintaining the Kyrgyz language, the Manas Epic, and national values. He urged the audience, saying, “If we want to protect and honor our history, we must think about our language and our future as a nation. Let us strive to uphold our traditions!”
Historians and educators contributed to the program, which was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region, through various interviews. The broadcast shed light on an important period in Kyrgyzstan’s history and reinforced the significance of maintaining cultural values for the future.
