Deputy Rector of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, Prof. Dr. Almaz Ibraev participated in the international scientific conference held in the Russian Federation from February 12 to 15, 2025.
Deputy Rector Prof. Dr. Ibraev participated in the international conference titled “Actual Problems in Higher Education Institutions of Kyrgyzstan and Russia in the Context of Modern Challenges.” The event brought together Usman Rassuhanov, Head of the Department of National Education System Integration and International Cooperation of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, along with rectors from Dagestan, Orenburg, Omsk, Tula, and Volgograd Pedagogical Universities, as well as from several universities in Kyrgyzstan.
During the visit, participants agreed to conduct joint monitoring studies aimed at identifying key challenges faced by pedagogical staff working in Russian-language schools in Kyrgyzstan. Discussions also focused on the development of dual diploma programs and enhancing academic mobility opportunities for students.
Two significant agreements were signed as part of the cooperation in teaching the Russian language. One of the key initiatives includes the establishment of Russian language teaching centers at Batken State University in Kyzyl-Kiya and Osh State Pedagogical University named after A. Myrsabekov.
Additionally, the situation of 270 Kyrgyz students studying at Bashkir State Pedagogical University named after M. Akmulla was reviewed. It was reported that, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, three open education centers for teaching the Russian language had been opened at this university. With the support of these centers, over 40 university students are currently completing internships in Kyrgyz schools.
