Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University Hosts Evaluation Meeting on Quality Management System
On February 19, 2025, Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University hosted the 2024 Internal Audit Evaluation and Management Review Meeting at the Rectorate within the framework of the TS EN ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
The meeting was attended by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Recai Doğan, Secretary General and Quality Management Representative Prof. Dr. İsmet Altıntaş, Chairman of the Quality Executive Committee Prof. Dr. Kadir Ardıç, as well as quality ambassadors, department heads, institute secretaries, faculty and high school secretaries, and directors of administrative units.
During the meeting, Chairman of the Quality Executive Committee, Prof. Dr. Kadir Ardıç announced that based on the results of the internal audit conducted in December 2024, the Department of Library and Documentation was identified as the unit that most effectively implemented the Quality Management System. In recognition of this achievement, the Head of the Department Maksatbek Inakbekov, and his team were awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Recai Doğan.
“Quality Management System is Key to Institutional Development”
Delivering the opening speech, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Recai Doğan emphasized the importance of quality management in shaping the university’s vision and enhancing institutional development. He stated: “The Quality Management System plays a vital role in the success of our university. I would like to extend my gratitude to the Quality Management Representative, the Chairman of the Quality Executive Committee, our quality ambassadors, and all academic staff who have contributed to this process.” He also highlighted the significance of institutional solidarity in ensuring continuous improvement.
In his speech, Secretary General and Quality Management Representative Prof. Dr. İsmet Altıntaş described the Quality Management System as a fundamental guide for advancing Manas University. He remarked: “We all have important responsibilities on this journey. I believe that everyone will do their utmost to contribute to this process.”
Following this, Prof. Dr. Kadir Ardıç provided a comprehensive briefing to quality ambassadors, addressing key aspects of internal audit findings, certification processes, institutional feedback, and strategies for enhancing operational efficiency. The discussion also covered corrective measures, long-term development plans, and initiatives aimed at improving professional training and institutional evaluation.
The meeting successfully concluded with the determination of steps to ensure the sustainability of the Quality Management System and achieve the university’s strategic goals.
