Master’s Program
- Candidates must have graduated from a bachelor’s degree program and have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.00 out of 4.00.
- For citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic who have graduated from a higher education institution outside the Kyrgyz Republic or the Republic of Türkiye, an equivalency (recognition) certificate issued by the Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Innovation of the Kyrgyz Republic is required. For citizens of the Republic of Türkiye who have graduated from a higher education institution outside the Republic of Türkiye, an equivalency (recognition) certificate issued by the Council of Higher Education of the Republic of Türkiye is required.
- Candidates who have an ALES score of at least 55 (valid for up to 3 years) or an equivalent GRE or GMAT score (valid for up to 5 years) may be exempt from the written examination if they choose not to take it, and their written exam score will be considered as at least 70. However, they are required to take the oral examination. Candidates who do not hold an ALES, GRE, or GMAT certificate must take both the written and oral examinations.
PhD Programs
- Candidates must have graduated from a master’s degree program or from a faculty program of at least five years (excluding the preparatory class), or hold a bachelor’s degree and a specialization certificate in a laboratory field determined by the Ministry of Health, and must have a minimum GPA of 2.50 out of 4.00.
- For citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic who have graduated from a higher education institution outside the Kyrgyz Republic or the Republic of Trürkiye, an equivalency (recognition) certificate issued by the Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Innovation of the Kyrgyz Republic is required. For citizens of the Republic of Turkey who have graduated from a higher education institution outside the Republic of Türkiye, an equivalency (recognition) certificate issued by the Council of Higher Education of the Republic of Turkey is required.

- Candidates must obtain a minimum score of 50 (valid for 3 years) from a foreign language examination conducted by ÖSYM of the Republic of Türkiye or by the ÖSYM Center of Kyrgyz–Turkish Manas University (KTMU), or an equivalent score from an internationally recognized foreign language examinations approved by the KTMU Senate. Foreign language equivalency scores are calculated and evaluated in accordance with the KTMU Foreign Language Examination Equivalency Tables.
International Students
The following principles shall apply to international students who have graduated from higher education institutions outside the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Turkey, or from institutions within the Kyrgyz Republic where the language of instruction is neither Kyrgyz nor Turkish, as well as to applicants applying under bilateral agreements in which the University participates.
- Applicants for master’s programs must have graduated from a bachelor’s program and have a minimum GPA of 2.00 on a 4.00 scale. Applicants for doctoral programs must have graduated from a master’s program or from a faculty with at least a five-year program (excluding preparatory classes) and must have a minimum GPA of 2.50 on a 4.00 scale.
- Applicants must hold a diploma recognized as equivalent by the competent authorities of the Kyrgyz Republic and/or the Republic of Turkiye (Equivalency Certificate)
- A foreign language certificate is not required, and candidates are not subject to the written science examination. Only an oral examination is conducted in a language chosen by the candidate.
