The program at the Department of Tours and Guide Services meets government standards for Bachelor's programs in the field of tourism. 

This program was prepared based on similar programs in Western Europe and Turkey, and meets both national and international requirements for such a program. 

The program is operated based on the credit system, with classes earning a definite number of credits according to the European Credit Transfer System. 

The following areas are covered in the Bachelor's program: creating and implementing a plan, guaranteeing quality, meeting customer's expectation, and organizing complex services in the basic sectors of the tourist industry. 

Students can also expect to cover the following basic areas:

  • Customers (both individual and corporate) and their requirements and requests;
  • Plans, packages, and products;
  • Technology and tourist services;
  • Results of intellectual activities;
  • Intangible assets belonging to the subjects of the tourist industry by right of ownership or other legal basis;
  • Housing, food, transport, and other services required to carry out a plan, tour, or product;
  • Informational resources and systems, and ways of using automated informations services and technology.

  • Planning, organizing, and managing technology for tourist enterprises;
  • Creating and marketing a product for tourist enterprises;
  • Using information technology and communications to create and market a product;
  • Ensure standards are met for tourism services;
  • Develop regulatory documents for ensuring standards are met for tourism services. 

 

b) Organization and management:

  • Planning, organizing and managing tour companies and departments;
  • Making managerial decisions for tour companies;
  • Planning, organizing and managing marketing for tour businesses;
  • Developing and implementing growth strategies for tour businesses. 

 

b) Projects:

  • Analyzing activities and preparing a growth prediction for tour businesses that emphasises economic, social and ecological aspects;
  • Using qualitative and quantitative measures for carrying out research and using technology and programming for research.

 

c) Research and analysis:

  • Organizing and carrying out research and monitoring of markets in the field of tourism;
  • Carrying out applied research in order to develop programs;
  • Presenting results of research in reports, publications, and presentations;
