Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University is a higher education institution with special status established in accordance with International Agreement No. 96/8350 published in Official Gazette No. 22719 dated August 6, 1996. Manas University`s Board of Trustees is comprised of eight members appointed by the parties governments. The Chairman and three members of the Board are appointed by the Government of the Republic of Türkiye by joint decree, while the other four members of the Board are selected by the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic upon the proposal of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Education and Science in accordance with the current procedures.
