Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University Held a Panel on "Diversity of Theater Aesthetics and Modernization of Educational Methodology"

Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University's Department of Theater organized an international panel on "Diversity of Theater Aesthetics and Modernization of Educational Methodologies".

The opening speeches of the panel held on May 17, 2023 at KTMU Kasym Tynystanov Conference Hall were made by KTMU Faculty of Fine Arts Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anarbek Ibraev, KTMU Deputy Rector Dr. Baktygul Kalambekova, Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic Ainura Askarova and TURKSOY General Secretary Sultan Raev.

Participants from Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, and many other countries made presentations and discussed the new trends that emerged with the artistic and aesthetic changes in the theater as of the end of the 90s, theater education and the deficiencies in this field.

In the panel, which was held in two separate sessions with online participants; Rector of GITIS Russian Institute of Theatre Arts Prof. Dr. Grigoriy Zaslavskiy, People's Artist and Film Director of the Kazakhstan Republic Prof. Dr. Talgat Temenov, Kyrgyz Writer and President of the Union of Theatre Workers of Kyrgyzstan Dr. Janysh Kulmambetov, Lecturer at the Uzbekistan State Institute of Arts and Culture Prof. Dr. Altynai Tajibayeva, Lecturer at Akdeniz University Dr. Ahsen Gunbulut, Lecturer at the State University of Arts Prof. Dr. Aisuluu Sagitova, KTMU Lecturer Gulmira Tinalieva, Director of Osh National Film Academy Topchubay Dosbaev, КТМU Lecturer Taalaikul Taimambetova, Kyrgyz State University of Culture and Arts named after B. Beishenalieva  Cholpon Turumbekova and Artistic Director of the National Kyrgyz Theater Nazym Mendebairov took part with their presentations.

At the end of the panel, the participants pointed out that the education system based on the European theater has moved far from the possibility of fully meeting the needs of the age, especially as of the beginning of the 21st century, and expressed that the training processes of today's theater artists, methodological principles and other fields should be updated urgently.
