An event titled “Furniture Design, Architectural Modeling and Toy Production” was held by KTMU High School of Vocational Education at the Kurmanjan Datka Exhibition Hall of our university. Presentations were made by 1st and 2nd year students of the “Furniture and Decoration”, “Construction Technology", and "Child Care” programs.
On the basis of the courses carried out by the 2nd year students of the “Furniture and Decoration” program, various interior designs were created under the guidance of their teacher Mustafa Ocal. The designs of the children's room, playground, library, cinema, cafe, guest lounge, house and any part of the house were designed using the "SketchUp" and “3D Max” programs. Students of the “Furniture and Decoration” program also worked with their teacher Dr. Gulmira Ajygulova. They created models of various structures as part of the “Architecture” course to provide information about the construction and building sector.
The students of the “Child Care” program were worked by their teacher Gulzada Abdralieva as part of the "Use of Didactic Principles in Education" course to develop various educational toys that improve motor skills and problem solving abilities. These products include playdough, clothes made with harmless materials, booklets, origami, quilling, pictures drawn on the board, etc.
As part of our traditional exhibition of Architectural Model Design, Children's Toys, and Handicrafts, High School of Vocational Education Director's Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mahmut Vural said: “This year, we will also present 3D Furniture Design”. Our High School of Vocational Education, which has brought its graduates to many developed countries since 2010, attaches importance to applied education. In this exhibition, we aim to present our students talents to our academic staff and students.
This event aims to promote knowledge sharing in architecture, construction and education. It provides an opportunity to develop students creativity and technical skills. Our university always aims to help students discover and develop their talents through such events. It also supports disadvantaged groups through community service. This event, which was realized with the contributions of our students, teachers and Rector, is an example of our work that aims to make a difference in education and to provide a positive impact on society. We will continue to contribute to the development of our students and society with similar activities in the future.”
The event was attended by KTMU Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan, deans, department heads, lecturers and students. After our Rector gave all the participants their awards, Manas University High School of Vocational Education Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mahmut Vural, lecturers and students, and stated that the toys prepared for the event would be sent to earthquake victims in Turkey.
