Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University was represented by Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan in Uzbekistan. Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sezai Turk gave information about Manas University to the participants at a hotel in Tashkent.
At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan stated that Manas University, where more than 6,500 students study, is one of the most prestigious universities in Central Asia. He also noted that the university is among the top 1000 universities in the world.
Prof. Dr. Ceylan shared the information that students from nearly 20 countries, especially those from Kyrgyzstan, Turkey and the Turkic World, receive education at Manas University. Also, Rector underlined that Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, which has 12 faculties, 1 college, 1 vocational college, is an autonomous higher education institution with the same status as state universities in Turkey and Kyrgyzstan.
Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan stated that university education is free of charge. Rector also said that students can receive various scholarships if they meet the conditions. In addition, Rector Alpaslan Ceylan stated that more than 100 Uzbek students studied at the university. They hope that Manas University will be the first priority for successful young people from Uzbekistan.
