2022-2023 Academic Year Graduation Ceremony

The 22nd Graduation Ceremony of the 2022-2023 academic year was held on 16, 2023 at the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University`s Chyngyz Aitmatov Campus Open-air Sports Field. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Aibek Moldogaziev, Ministers, Ambassador of the Turkey Republic to Bishkek Ahmet Sadyk Dogan and his wife Mariya Dogan, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Kyrgyzstan Shadurdy Meredov, Embassy Representatives, Members of the Board of Trustees, Rectors of Higher Education Institutions, Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan, Deputy Rector Dr. Baktygul Kalambekova, Vice Rectors, academicians, administrative staff, media representatives, students and their parents.

The graduation ceremony started with the national anthems of brotherly countries Kyrgyzstan and Turkey. Deputy Rector Dr. Baktygul Kalambekova said: “Dear graduates, everything is now behind you after sometimes fun and sometimes difficult lessons and exams. New life awaits you. You will build your life on the knowledge you receive here. We hope our university's quality education will always guide you in your professional life. Dear students, you graduated on the 100th anniversary of Turkey's Republic. Our dear graduates, you will be proud of Manas and Manas will be proud of you.”

Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan started his opening speech by saying “Welcome!” to the guests who attended the graduation ceremony. Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan emphasized that every student who joins the Manas University family and graduates is very important. Our rector said: “Today is a happy day for us." Dear students, you have all worked hard, performed valuable work, spent sleepless nights, but you have reached today. Today, we are graduating successful students not only for the Manas family, not only for Kyrgyzstan, not only for Turkey, not only for the Turkic world, but also for the whole Islamic world and for humanity." In his opening speech, Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan stated that Manas University is among the top 1000 universities in the world and that it has always been a student-centered university. In addition, Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan emphasized: “Put love at the center of your life." Because there is no success without love. Never forget Chyngyz Aitmatov's quote “The hardest thing for anyone is to be a human being every day.” Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan, who often emphasized the importance of success, work and education in his speech, ended his speech by thanking the families, students, academicians and all the staff of our university.

After the opening speeches, Turkish Artist İrfan Gurdal took the stage to sing his song “Sardal Kyz”. Our university's first Faculty and High School announcement followed the music concert. The Director of the High School and Deans of the Faculty were invited to the stage to present their gifts.

The ceremony continued with the announcement of the names of the highest-performing three graduates of our university. Department of Journalism student Malika Nurlanova was the "third" highest-performing graduate with a 3.92 GPA. She received her award from our Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sezai Turk and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kamalbek Karymshakov.

Department of Child Care student Altynai Ulan kyzy, student of the Department of Economics Nurhan Toichubekov and student of the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema student Aidai Omurbekova were the "second" highest-performing graduates with a 3.93 GPA. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Aibek Moldogaziev, Deputy Rector of KTMU Dr. Baktygul Kalambekova, and Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Kyrgyzstan Shadurdy Meredov were invited to the stage to present the awards to the graduates.

A student of the English Language and Literature Program, Jibek Rustemova, and a student of the Department of Economics, Bermet Akmatova, were among the "first" highest-performing graduates with a 3.94 GPA. Our graduates were awarded by the Bishkek Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey Ahmet Sadyk Dogan and Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan.

The special guest at the graduation ceremony was Toktobubu Abdysatar kyzy. Toktobubu was declared Manas University`s student by Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan. By receiving her graduation certificate, Toktobubu realized her big dream. His father, who raised her, was also selected as “Father of the Year” and awarded the Manas Medal. In addition, Toktobubu was given the opportunity to vacation in a five-star hotel in Turkey for a week and received a free flight ticket as a gift.

Turkish artist Ahmet Tuzlu (special guest at the ceremony) and Kyrgyz artists Malika Dina and Ruslan Asankan entertained our guests and students with their popular songs. The ceremony, which was enjoyed by the students, ended with a fireworks show.
