The closing ceremony of the professional development seminar on “Turkish Language and New Trends”, was held on June 23, 2023. The seminar started on June 19, 2023, at Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University in cooperation with Yunus Emre Institute.

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Rector Dr. Baktygul Kalambekova, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sezai Turk, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kamalbek Karymshakov, Director of the High School of Foreign Languages Prof. Dr. Recai Dogan, General Secretary Assoc. Prof. Dr. Oktay Ozgul, Yunus Emre Institute Director of Turkish Education Prof. Dr. Yavuz Kartallyoglu, and academic staff.

High School of Foreign Languages Director Prof. Dr. Recai Dogan emphasized language importance. Prof. Dr. Recai Dogan said: “Manas University is a scientific institution that provides high-quality higher education both in the Turkic World and in Kyrgyzstan. With the support of the Rector of our university Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan and in cooperation with the Yunus Emre Institute, we have carried out the professional development seminars program.” He also said: “In this context, we will welcome the next academic year with more experienced academic staff.” He thanked those who participated in the seminars.

Manas University`s Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sezai Turk said: ‘We know that in a rapidly changing and developing world in language teaching, we always must constantly renew and improve our teaching methods and materials. We should strive to learn Turkish in a more effective and enjoyable way by using new technologies. For this reason, our university knows the importance of such events and always supports them. I would like to thank our esteemed academicians, participants, Yunus Emre Institute, and everyone who contributed to the organization of this program.”

Deputy Rector Dr. Baktygul Kalambekova said: "The Kyrgyz people attach much importance to language. Because language mirrors culture. For this reason, we should protect our mother tongue and pass it on to our children. Teaching a language is hard. We need to know language teaching methods well, and we should teach languages using these methods.”

At the closing and certificate ceremony of the “Teaching Turkish and New Trends" themed program hosted by Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, certificates were given to all lecturers who participated in the program.
