Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University held the closing program for the "Summer School for Young Turkologists". Deputy Rector Dr. Baktygul Kalambekova, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sezai Turk, General Secretary Assoc. Prof. Dr. Oktay Ozgul, Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA) International Relations Unit Representative Dr. Gulzade Kahveji, Turkish Academy of Sciences and Manas University lecturers and young Turkologists attended the program.
Deputy Rector Dr. Baktygul Kalambekova said: “We attach great importance to Turkology and are ready to support it. Turkology and the Turkic World are in your hands!"
Manas University`s Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sezai Turk said: “Before I start my speech, I would like to convey the greetings of our University Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan to you. 226 young scientists working in the fields of Turkology, Turkish History, Turkish Literature, Anthropology, Cultural Studies, and Archaeology applied to the Summer School program. Today only 28 young Turkologists from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Hungary, Bashkortostan (Russian Federation), Tatarstan (Russian Federation), North Macedonia, and Bosnia-Herzegovina are among us. Dear Turkologists, you have a significant responsibility to better understand the richness of the Turkic language, its culture, and its history. By assuming this responsibility, you will play a vital role in protecting and spreading the Turkic World's cultural heritage in the future. I wish you success in life and hope your paths are bright and full of knowledge.”
Dr. Gulzade Kahveji stated that they have held this Summer School in Turkey for 4 years on different subjects. They decided to hold it in Kyrgyzstan this year.
At the end of the program, gifts were presented to those who contributed to the Summer School. The program ended with a concert.
