Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University provided support through the "Biruni VR-LAB" project to the provinces affected by the Turkey earthquake.

The introduction program of the project, which was implemented within Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University's digitalization activities and is the first in Central Asia, was held at the “Birûni VR-LAB” established at Manas University.

With the support of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, "Research and Virtual Reality Labs" were opened in five provinces following the earthquake, which had an epicenter in Kahramanmarash. Students who study in this province will benefit from these laboratories.

Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan, who attended the laboratory opening via online, expressed his happiness to be able to make such an important contribution to the education of students affected by the earthquake.

Prof. Dr. Erdal Bai discusses the laboratory and how it will benefit teaching. He said, “All of this is primarily due to Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University's contributions and support of Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan. All we have done so far is just the beginning. We will do great things with our academicians' support."

Prof. Dr. Erdal Bai said, "Learning will be faster and more permanent when more sensory organs are involved. We use virtual reality tools to affect students' smell, touch, sight, and hearing. Therefore, the student is actively involved in this process. In this age when we observe transformations in many fields, education systems have to change as well. The opening of this laboratory will add value to Manas University's quality of education, in line with its motto "More than just a university."

Director of National Education M. Emin Akkurt, who attended the opening program, thanked Prof. Dr. Erdal Bay and Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University. Emphasizing how important it is to follow new technologies in education, M. Emin Akkurt stated that it is possible to communicate with young people and continue their education in the right way by closely following their world and combining it with educational content.

The laboratory is equipped with a high-quality computer and ultra-virtual glasses connected to the computer, as well as an interactive white board and a television screen. This laboratory, which includes content from the disciplines of health, social, and sports sciences, will be the place for future planning, experimentation, and application activities. Students will have access to education-based virtual reality content created by Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University.
