Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University's Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan visited the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Kyrgyz Republic. The visit was initiated to increase recognition of Manas University and further develop internationalization. KTMU Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan, Vice Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kamalbek Karymshakov and Prof. Dr. Kemal Polat visited Ambassador Rapil Zhoshybaev on July 18, 2023.

Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan stated that Ahmet Yesevi University and Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University represent two important achievements of Turkey in Central Asia. Rector referred to both universities' success in the QS World University Rankings and mentioned Manas University's importance for the Turkic World.

"We have the best cooperation with Kazakhstan, but we want to strengthen this cooperation and increase our student enrollment. We would like to ensure that our Kazakh youth benefit more from our University's opportunities and scientific infrastructure, which provides free and quality education. It is our wish that our Kazakh youth be educated not just in undergraduate programs, but also in graduate programs. Our university offers postgraduate education in 15 different programs. By taking advantage of the opportunities we offer, our Kazakh youth can educate themselves and contribute to their country and humanity.”

Ambassador Rapil Zhoshybaev said: “I know that your university has well-researched departments that Central Asia needs and that you offer quality education for all professions. For this reason, you can be sure that I will always support your cooperation with educational institutions in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. For example, we can encourage your Medicine Faculty and our universities' medical faculties to cooperate together. We can jointly organize scientific, cultural, and art programs at the Kazakh National University's facility in Issyk-Kul. Energy projects are currently being conducted between Turkey and Kazakhstan. It is also possible for you to train staff who will contribute to these projects and work on these projects. Likewise, I believe that graduates who will work in the field of energy and hydroelectric power plants will also graduate from your university.”

Ambassador Rapil Zhoshybaev invited Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan to the “Traditional Sports Games of Turkic Peoples” event to be held in Kazakhstan next year. KTMU Rector Alpaslan Ceylan expressed his satisfaction with Ambassador Rapil Zhoshybaev's participation as a guest in the competition organized in October by Manas University.
