Azerbaijani businessman Nusret Mamedov paid a visit to our esteemed Rector, Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan on September 25, 2023. In a remarkable act of generosity dating back to 2011, Azerbaijani businessman Nusret Mamedov gathered a collection of 42 invaluable historical artifacts from the local community and donated them to our university.

Among the treasures bestowed by Nusret Mamedov is a samovar and tray that once held a special place in history. It is the very samovar and tray that belonged to Nuri Pasha, the heroic leader of the Caucasian Islamic Army. Nuri Pasha's memory is held in the highest regard by the Azerbaijani people to this day. Nusret Mamedov, sharing the origin of these cherished items, explained, “These artifacts have been preserved as part of our ancestral heritage for many years. I am immensely proud to entrust this beautiful legacy to Manas University.

During his visit to Manas University's Archaeology and Ethnography Museum, where these significant artifacts were on display, Nusret Mamedov generously presented our university with important books. He also expressed his intention to donate an ancient book of historical significance. This book was originally written about the Ottoman Empire and later translated from Turkish to Kyrgyz with the support of the Azerbaijani diaspora, and it will be donated to the museum.

In gratitude for his invaluable contributions, Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan extended heartfelt thanks to Nusret Mamedov and presented him with a token of appreciation in the form of our university's publications.
