Internationalization is an undeniable reality in the realm of higher education worldwide, significantly enhancing the visibility and prestige of universities. Consequently, international collaborations are becoming increasingly pervasive. Recognizing the importance of this trend, Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University has embarked on a new path in its internationalization efforts. To launch this initiative, on September 25, 2023 Advisor to the Rector, Prof. Dr. Olgun Çiçek actively participated in the 33rd “International Higher Education Conference” organized by EAIE (European Association for International Education) in Netherlands.

During the five-day program from September 25 to 29, Prof. Dr. Olgun Çiçek commenced by paying a courtesy visit to the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in the Hague Selçuk Ünal. In this meeting, Prof. Dr. Olgun Çiçek provided Ambassador Selçuk Ünal with valuable insights about our university and extended a warm invitation to visit Manas University, renowned as the top university in Central Asia. The discussions during the visit centered on prospective avenues of cooperation, and Ambassador Selçuk Ünal expressed his willingness to support the development of collaborative opportunities between our university and institutions in the Netherlands. The visit concluded on a positive note, with both parties expressing their commitment to fostering stronger ties, and it was commemorated with photographs taken in a cordial atmosphere.
