On October 13, 2023, the Closing Ceremony of the I. Traditional Sports Games of the Organization of Turkic States-Turkic Universities Union, organized on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Türkiye, took place in a magnificent atmosphere at the Kasym Tynystanov Conference Hall of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University. The closing ceremony was attended by representatives of the Organization of Turkic States-Turkic Universities Union, athletes, academicians, students, and guests. Prior to the closing speeches, the final declaration of the event was announced by Almas Abdrakmanov, the Vice President of the I. Traditional Sports Games Organizing Committee and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences at Manas University.

Almas Abdrakmanov commented on the success of the event and the contributions of the participants: "Dear participants, dear guests, we have come to the end of the I. Traditional Sports Games, held in partnership with the Organization of Turkic States-Turkic Universities Union. This special event was organized to strengthen the cultural ties and solidarity of the Turkic World. Today, we came together for this purpose and further reinforced the unity of the Turkic World." He mentioned that 8 teams from 3 different countries participated in the traditional sports games, with more than 200 participants taking part in these games.

Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan, the Rector of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University highlighted that Manas University has achieved many significant successes in Kyrgyzstan and around the world. Rector Alpaslan Ceylan expressed the special significance of traditional sports to him. He also expressed his joy in establishing the Traditional Games and Sports Research Institute and the Traditional Sports Games Square at Manas University. Rector emphasized that hosting the Organization of Turkic States-Turkic Universities Union I. Traditional Sports Games is a great pleasure for them. He stated, "Traditional games symbolize friendship and solidarity among the Turkic World. The purpose of traditional sports games is not only to win but also to enhance the sense of brotherhood, preserve our traditions and customs, and share them."

Rector added that the 1st Traditional Sports Games of the Organization of Turkic States-Turkic Universities Union will inspire larger and more impressive organizations in the future and will continue to promote mutual understanding among Turkic peoples. He expressed his appreciation for the outstanding efforts and performances of the participating athletes and thanked everyone who contributed to this event. He noted that the I. Traditional Sports Games of the Organization of Turkic States-Turkic Universities Union will become a traditional annual event.

At the closing ceremony, certificates of appreciation and medals were presented to the heads of traditional sports federations by Manas University. The Closing Ceremony of the I. Traditional Sports Games of the Organization of Turkic States-Turkic Universities Union was an unforgettable day that contributed to the strengthening of sports and cultural relations among Turkic States. Following the Closing Ceremony of the 1st Traditional Sports Games of the Organization of Turkic States-Turkic Universities Union, team competitions were held at the Traditional Sports Games Square of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University.
