Meeting with the Orhun Exchange Program Students
On October 23, 2023, an introductory meeting was convened at the Rectorate’s Senate Hall of Manas University to welcome and provide information to Orhun Exchange Program students. The meeting was attended by Rector of Manas University, Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan; General Secretary, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Oktay Ozgul and International Relations Office Coordinator, Prof. Dr. Kemal Polat, along with the Orhun Exchange Program students.
The attending students hailed from various institutions, including Nur-Mubarak University of Kazakhstan, Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh- Turkish University, Ege University, Atatürk University, and Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University. They shared their experiences at Manas University, commending the university for surpassing their expectations. They lauded the effective teaching methods, the genuine interest and support provided by academic staff, and the exceptional beauty of the campus, which they found superior to many other universities in Türkiye.
Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan underlined the university's student-centric approach. He stated that while the university is already recognized as one of the top 1000 universities globally, their aspiration is to further improve and make it into the top 500 in the World University Rankings. Rector Alpaslan Ceylan also emphasized that the university continually undertakes projects and updates geared towards enhancing the student experience. He assured the students of the university's receptiveness to their opinions and suggestions, promising comprehensive support for their successful educational journey.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with a commitment to enhancing the academic experience for the exchange students. Immediately after the meeting, the International Relations Office organized a special trip to Ata-Beyit. Prof. Dr. Polat encouraged the students to immerse themselves in Kyrgyzstan's culture, traditions, and customs, emphasizing the personal development benefits of such experiences.
The students who participated in the meeting expressed their gratitude to Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan and International Relations Coordinator Prof. Dr. Kemal Polat for organizing the trip, acknowledging that this experience had broadened their horizons and heightened their motivation.
