Karabuk University and Istanbul Commerce University Rectors Visited Our University
On October 31, 2023, Dr. Israfil Kuralay, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Istanbul Commerce University, Prof. Dr. Abdulhamit Avşar, the Deputy Rector of Istanbul Commerce University, and Prof. Dr. Fatih Kırışık, the Rector of Karabuk University visited Manas University. They were invited to the III. Manas Forum, scheduled to take place from November 1 to November 3, 2023. During their visit to Manas University, they were warmly welcomed by Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan at the Rectorate. In the meeting, they expressed their joy at being in their ancestral lands.
The discussions during the visit revolved around the significance of the Manas Forum for Central Asia, the Turkic World, and the Organization of Turkic World States. The guests were also briefed about the Organization of Turkic States, the Union of Turkic Universities, and the Orhun Exchange Program. It was announced that the officials planned to apply for the Orhun Exchange Program in the near future. Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan emphasized that Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, a member of the Union of Turkic Universities and the coordinator of the Orhun Exchange Program, is eager to collaborate with other universities in various fields. He stated, “The date of November 12, 2021, holds great value for us because on this day, the Organization of Turkic States was revitalized. In this regard, we, as Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University are always open to cooperation with all universities in every field, particularly in education.”
During the visit, Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan also highlighted the innovations made by Manas University in areas ranging from infrastructure developments to educational programs. He emphasized that Manas University adheres to the motto “More Than Just a University.” As an example of this commitment, a short documentary was presented to the guests featuring Toktobubu, who was declared a lifelong student of Manas University.
The visit concluded with the exchange of gifts and the taking of photographs. Afterward, Dr. Israfil Kuralay, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Istanbul Commerce University, and Prof. Dr. Abdulhamit Avşar, Vice Rector of Istanbul Commerce University, visited the new studios of Manas Radio and Manas Television. They received detailed information about these facilities and also participated in an interview conducted by Dr. Bulent Namal, the Director of Manas Television.
