Seminar on “Compulsory Health Insurance” for Foreign Students
On November 29, 2023, the Mandatory Health Insurance Fund (MHIF) under the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic organized the seminar on compulsory health insurance for foreign students at Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University.
During the seminar, details of the new law on compulsory health insurance for citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic were shared. It was emphasized that all citizens living in the country are obliged to have compulsory health insurance, and the same applies to foreign students studying or working in educational institutions.
Representatives of the Mandatory Health Insurance Fund provided a comprehensive overview of the procedure for obtaining health insurance. They also informed attendees about the conditions for free and discounted medical care guaranteed by the state after obtaining the insurance policy. The event concluded with a question and answer session to address the queries of the participants.
