2023 Internal Audit Evaluation Meeting
On February 9, 2024, an informational meeting took place at the Rectorate Conference Hall of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University. The purpose of the meeting was to share information regarding the “2023 Internal Audit Evaluation Report” with the university staff. Prof. Dr. Oktay Ozgul, the General Secretary and Quality Management Representative of Manas University, emphasized that the significance placed on quality had increased after the 2nd Surveillance Audit conducted by the Turkish Standards Institution between April 24-28, 2023.
“Quality is a Whole”
In his speech, Prof. Dr. Oktay Ozgul underscored the importance of strengthening quality management processes within the institution and efforts to comply with international standards. He also mentioned that the comprehensive “Internal Audit Activities,” involving 59 certified auditors, were successfully completed.
During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Oktay Ozgul emphasized the importance of quality control with the statement “Quality is a whole” and provided suggestions to the university staff within the scope of upcoming activities. Prof. Dr. Oktay Ozgul expressed confidence that Manas University would continue to achieve success in the coming years and extended thanks to everyone who contributed.
“The First in Kyrgyzstan”
Prof. Dr. Olgun Cicek, Advisor to the Rector and Coordinator of Institutional Data Management and International Relations Office, shared detailed information about the university's internationalization activities. Prof. Dr. Olgun Cicek informed the meeting participants, “I would like to inform you that this year is the “Internationalization Year” at our university.” He announced that Manas University had initiated 2025 QS activities, and QS Stars applications had been submitted. Particularly, he highlighted that Manas University stood out in the field of internationalization, pioneering in Kyrgyzstan in the QS Stars evaluation. Also Prof. Dr. Olgun Cicek has shared detailed information about the recently established Institutional Data Management Coordinatorship at the university.
