“Akyl Taymash” Youth Cup Was Held at KTMU

Bishkek Inter-University Youth Cup “Akyl Taimash”, hosted by Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University and organized by the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Kyrgyz Youth Congress, the “Agartuu League” and the Manas University`s Student Council, took place on February 9, 2024.

The monthly contest, organized as part of an educational project, featured 13 teams from Bishkek universities. The participants successfully answered questions about the history of Kyrgyzstan. In the intellectual game dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region, youth impressed with their knowledge.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic Marat Tagaev stated, “We must remember our history and learn valuable lessons from it. One way to remember history is to organize such “Brainstorming” games.” Deputy Minister Marat Tagaev urged youth to study history in depth and emphasized the importance of preserving ancestral heritage.

Manas University's Vice Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kamalbek Karymshakov mentioned that the event was held with a beautiful ceremony and added, “The most beautiful part of today's event is seeing youth compete with their minds.” He expressed happiness at coming together with youth from various higher education institutions.

Vice Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kamalbek Karymshakov referring to the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye and the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region, said, “Such celebrations have great symbolic meaning for us. As a joint educational institution between the two countries, we attach importance to our common values and culture. Therefore, the fact that today's competition is on such a subject gives us special happiness.” He concluded his speech by wishing success to the participants of the competition.

According to the results of the competition, the “Erudit” team of Kyrgyz State University named after I. Arabaev took first place, the “Kench” team of Bishkek State University named after K. Karasaev took second place, and the “Politeh” team of Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov took third place. The winning teams were presented with certificates of achievement and books.

The event with the participation of students from various universities in Kyrgyzstan, allowed youth to compete with each other, showcasing their intelligence and creativity, while strengthening harmony and friendship between universities.
